Wow. OK , so I'm looking for a topic and I come across the Swizz Beatz, Alicia Keys story. I just finished writing an opinion piece in my journalism class on Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union.

If you don't know that story it's about Union being sued by Wade's soon-to-be-ex-wife, Siohvaughn Funches for about $50,000 because she says that the children are suffering emotionally because of their father's new girlfriend and their alleged extra displays of affection.

I simply said that Funches needs to let Wade go and to get on with her life and she shouldn't bring the children into what seems like hatred for being hurt by a man she thought she was going to be with forever. I really got upset when I read that other charges were that Union had received large Christmas presents whereas the children got smaller gifts. Why is that a relevant argument? I said that children can get a box and think that you were the best parent in the world. I went on to say that she probably didn't feel that way when she got jewelry from Wade that was worth more than any toy they'd ever bought the children I'm sure.

So this other story With Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz reminded me of that story. I read the people's comments afterward and they were bashing Keys and saying she was a ho, home wrecker, cheat, etcetera. Same as the comments Union received in other forums.

This lead me to ask the question, "Why is it that the women are bad and well the men are innocent?"

One person commented that people act like men are a piece of gold that could be stolen, not as people that like all of us, have the choice to do right or wrong. Now in the case of the Wades it has been over two years, how long does it take to let go? Now I'm not sure how long the breakup of Swizz Beatz and his ex was but I do know this wasn't an overnight thing.

I'm not commending or supporting adultery or anything like that ,but if it gets to the point that one person is going out getting to know folks in a manner not conducive with letting people know that they are in a committed relationship then they should be let go.

Now if the person is going back and forth between the two; then they need to stop playing games and make a decision. We all make choices good or bad but we must remember that one person cannot steal our joy unless we let them. Never play to a level lower than your standards. If someone is wrong and they look like a fool than let karma deal with them. Don't make a donkey out of yourself to try and get back at them it isn't worth your time.

Not My Lil' Girl.

Alright people If you haven't heard about the little girls that did a dance number to Beyonce's "Single Ladies," at their dance competition then you have been slightly spared. Until now. Well don't worry I'm not going to go into detail about it except to say... Those little girls can dance!!
Well with that, the outfits that they had performed in were a bit risque but don't fault the little girls. It's their parents fault they did purchase them and they saw the dance that the girls did so why is everyone so mad?
The truth: I feel it's because they're white girls that are a bit privileged. There I said it. If these were little black girls every ones attitude would be, "It figures," but because it's white girls everyone is sooo shocked, hurt and whatever else.
If this is the way their parents want to parade them off then who are we to be upset? Some people still have problems with pageant girls and soccer moms. I know if it were me I would have said no to the outfits, but hey that's the way I felt about the outfits not their parents.
In the end it's all about parenting and preference if they feel like it was the right thing to do for a 2 minuet performance then so be it. It's not like these girls robbed a bank or had me sitting in the waiting room at the doctor's office for hours because of low staff. Let's talk about real issues folks.
Now I was debating on whether or not to post the dance but I think I will. Draw your own conclusions. These girls are very good! A little bit of the choreography isn't age appropriate, but again....

Now I know we have all seen and heard about the whole Tigar Woods fiasco. I just wanted to let off a little steam. Why is it that when someone gets caught cheating all of the women involved want to come out of the woodwork and blame the man they were sleeping with.
They say things like, " He shouldn't have done this he knew he was married and he still slept with me."
Pigeon please! Everybody and their mama knew that Tiger was married so for you to act like an innocent victim is ludacris. This also applies to those other athletes. Now I'm going to be honest I haven't hardly checked out a basketball game in a very long time so I wouldn't know who some of the new players were. Heck, I didn't even know that Oklahoma had a team! And we could just forget about baseball I haven't a clue about the game or the men on the teams.

But all of these sports have their stars and we know who they are even if we don't follow sports. I mean I bet if you asked your grandma who Kobe Bryant was she would be able to tell you.
So just if you chose to date the star athlete don't start blaming him for your "emotional state," take responsesibility for your actions and move on. If you were sleeping with him and he never took you out in public, took you to his parents house and showed you off to the family then considred yourself a mistress. You have the choice to stay or leave be the wise women you are suppose to be and make sure that you choose the right one.

If he LOVES you than he'll put a ring on it. If he likes it... well he'll just keep tappin' with no strings attached.

Let's Get the Glam and Fab Back.

Well I love fashion! So it's no wonder that I would use my blog to talk about it.
With that being said I have a small bone to pick. Remember when you would spend all of the money you earned on a Baby Phat t-shirt. Well now the quality isn't as great. It seems like they try and cheapen what is being sold to the consumer. Some of the pieces at the high end stores feel and look like the knock offs at the swap meets.
But it isn't only Baby Phat that has taken a step back. House of Dereon is the same.
I mean I absolutely LOVE and want to be a mini Kimora Lee Simmons, I REALLY DO!!!! SERIOUSLY!!!!! And while Beyonce is a beautiful force to be reckoned with it still doesn't help that the people that distribute their lines are cheapening it by trying to cut cost corners; making them look bad and take the brunt of negative criticism.
I just hope that the clothes get back to what they use to be so that I can be an avid consumer again.

So if you haven't heard the Kardashian sisters have launched a skin care line called, "PerfectSkin," that works on all skin types. Well I'm just wondering how long this will last.

You know what I'm talking about, the hype of the new miracle cream because famous people use it. Well not to sound like a hater and bash their efforts for making $$, it's just that we also saw this with...well you know... Proactiv. If it works then hey more power to them if you want to try it well then
